Welcome Olivia | Annapolis Fresh 48 session

Every fresh 48 session is special to me, I mean not only is it a brand new life entering the world, but its a new family, or family completely changing, it’s beautiful…. it’s a miracle. I had the honor of photographing a Fresh 48 session in Annapolis for Maria and Kris about 2 years ago when they welcomed their first daughter into the world. It was an incredible day, their room so peaceful, so beautiful, soft music playing softly in the background two new parents completely in love, and completely exhausted. I was so excited when I received the email from Maria to book their Fresh 48 for their new baby, who’s gender would be a surprise….. I got the text on a saturday morning that new baby girl had arrived, we planned to meet the next morning on a sunday…. a sunday that just happened to be mothers day…. a rainy, gray mothers day outside… but inside of that room at Anne Arundel Medical Center it was anything but gray, it was full of life, and gratefulness, and all of the incredible emotions that surround the birth of a new baby.

After a bit of car trouble…. (thank you dead battery) I was finally there and ready to capture this sweet new addition to their family, who at that point was still unnamed. She was such a calm laid back baby… her Annapolis Fresh 48 session was one I will never forget…. her head full of hair, and tiny little arm rolls she was every bit of perfection. Her mama had a smile on her face the whole time and couldnt stop talking about how excited she was to get home to see her toddler, and let the two sisters meet for the first time. Again, just like last time.. the room was so peaceful and calm, a flower in the window taken from a grandmothers garden, two tired but extremely thankful parents, a brand new tiny miracle…..

I had my kiddo outside of the US and there wasn’t much in the way of security measures, but I haven’t seen that yet! Just curious about it (and bracing myself for what to expect with baby number 2 when we go back to the states)ReplyCancel
