~What happens if it’s raining? 

Obviously as an on location photographer, there are times that Mother Nature decides against my plans. So if it’s raining, or there is a 50% chance of rain prior to the session, we will reschedule. In addition if Anne Arundel County Government or Public School close or delay due to inclement weather your session will most likely be rescheduled as well.

~So you want to match without looking too matchy-matchy?

Try to remember that color can be your friend, have fun with it. You can also stay neutral but add in a few pops of color. Try to stay away from White unless you are a bride, and even then… you can still have fun with color! If you are having a hard time with your wardrobe collection prior to your shoot please let me know and I am happy to lend a hand, better yet… a link with a full color guide!

~How soon should I book my Wedding Photographer?

NOW! …. Early planning is becoming the trend, so to be certain I have the availability you are looking for at least 6 months, but 12 to 18 months is even better. That’s not to say that if you are planning a last minute wedding I’m not your girl, I may be able to help you out, but in most cases I may be booked.

~How long until I get my photos?

Regular sessions like senior portraits, and family sessions will get a few web proof images (“Sneak Peeks”) just a few days after their sessions, and all editing will be completed and images placed on viewing gallery for proofing and download 1-2 weeks after your shoot. Please be advised, your proofing gallery will stay open for 48 hours, after that if you have not make any purchases your gallery will be archived, to reopen the file at a later time and create a new proofing gallery will result in a $45 fee.

Wedding Clients will also receive a few Facebook peeks and should expect the final presentation of images 4-6 weeks after your wedding!

~Refund Policy

Package, Session, and Event fees are non-refundable, should the client have to cancel their session (and does so prior to 48 hours before the shoot date) the payments made will be held as a credit for an upcoming sessions or a reschedule date. After 2 cancellations Session is considered permanently canceled and a new session fee must me made to start the booking process over again. Fees paid are valid for 1 year after that time there is no credit left.  There is a $35 returned check fee that will be charged in the event your check payment does not clear.

~Gift Certificates and Credits

Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount and are valid from one year of date of purchase. Gift certificates cannot be traded in for cash, or used for print product purchases, but applied to sessions fees, or digital images.

~Products

I offer a large collection of print products, albums, and wall art. A $500 minimum is required on print orders. Complimentary print packs include up to 30 images. Client must pick up print orders, or shipping fee will apply.

~So, I need to reschedule??

Obviously kids will get sick, cars will break down, and bosses will call you into work, and sometimes send you to Peru.  With that being said, if you know you will not be able to make your reserved time, please call me at the earliest possible time. You are able to reschedule your session one time without penalty. If you no show your session any fees paid are no longer a credit to your session.

~Can I share my images on Facebook, Twitter and the like?

Certainly! However I do request that you clearly state either next to the photo or underneath, “Photos Taken by Sarah Michele Photography”.

~How/When to reserve my session

Shoot me an email, lets chat about what you are looking for and how we can accomplish that! No session will be held without deposit. I schedule portrait sessions on weekdays, generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with VERY limited weekend availability during the off seasons for weddings. During wedding season my weekends are full. I am generally booked out 6-8 weeks please schedule your sessions early as I do not overbook my schedule.

~How far are you willing to go? 

For portrait photography I generally service Baltimore, Annapolis, and surrounding areas, however we can shoot wherever you would like to just keep in mind your session fees include 20 miles round trip from 21060 (weddings 40 miles), outside of that is a $45 fee, and $0.56 per mile charge. Locations further then 100 miles round trip may be subject to additional fees and travel rates. Promotional and special event sales are limited to local service areas.
For wedding coverage I am will to shoot wherever a plane ticket will take me, inquire about current travel fees. If your destination wedding is in an area on our photography bucket list to shoot in your travel fee may be waived!
