One of my favorite things about being an Annapolis Family Photographer is watching families grow over the years. There is something so special about photographing the same family season after season, celebrating milestones, watching little ones get bigger, and catching up on all the exciting changes life brings.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing one of my longtime client families at the beautiful Annapolis Naval Academy, and it was such a fun evening together. When families return year after year, sessions start to feel less like work and more like catching up with old friends. We spent the evening walking around the grounds, exploring the historic beauty of Annapolis, and letting the kids simply be kids.

As an Annapolis Family Photographer, I always encourage families to focus less on perfect poses and more on enjoying time together. Some of my favorite images from this session came from the moments in between the laughter, the running, the silly jokes, and the genuine interactions that make each family unique. The kids had a blast running around the Naval Academy grounds, and I loved capturing their personalities as they explored and played.

One of the best parts of photographing repeat clients is hearing all of their family updates. Every year brings new adventures, accomplishments, challenges, and memories. It’s amazing to look back at previous sessions and see just how much can change in a few short years. The little details that feel ordinary today often become the memories families treasure most later.

The United States Naval Academy provided the perfect backdrop for this family session. With its beautiful architecture, waterfront views, and rich history, it remains one of my favorite locations for family photography in Annapolis. The combination of classic scenery and open spaces makes it ideal for creating timeless family portraits while still allowing children the freedom to run, play, and have fun.

As an Annapolis Family Photographer, I am incredibly grateful for the families who continue to trust me with their memories year after year. What starts as a photography session often grows into something much more meaningful. Watching children grow up, celebrating life’s milestones, and building relationships with my clients is truly one of the greatest joys of this job.
