Because the little girls in these photographs won’t always be this age. They’ll keep growing, changing, and becoming more of who they are. And that’s exactly why I love photographing these seasons. A little dragon, a little cake, and a few tears that turned into fun! This sweet little girl was in the studio for her first birthday cake smash, with the prettiest, pink and green dragon themed set up. There were a few tears at the beginning, which is completely normal, but after some time to warm up, we had a great time one of my favorite parts of being a Baltimore family. Photographer is getting to capture these little personalities exactly as they are. August Extended Family | Annapolis Family Photographer

August Extended Family |Annapolis Family Photographer ….It’s always a great time to get family together for family portraits. Every year families change, new babies arrive, new marriages, new pets… each year families look even more beautiful! It’s really special to get everyone together when its for an Anniversary celebration. Mary and Bruce were celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary. What an accomplishment right? I love celebrating marriages, and capturing Anniversary sessions. Good Marriages take work, and take two people who are willing to go the distance.. and that deserves beautiful memories or two people so very much in love. Together with their Children and grandchildren they were staying in Annapolis for the celebration and we all got the chance to meet up for some updated family portraits and 40th Anniversary portraits for them!

They were an incredibly lovely family to work with, everyone was so warm and inviting! Those sweet little boys were precious! Since they were all only in town for a short time we had to make our scheduled night work. I got worried as I checked the forecast and saw that storms were a possibility. As the day went on the weather didnt seem to be clearing. On the way to the session I ran into the store and picked up a few extra umbrellas just in case. The entire time we were shooting we could hear the thunder right behind us, Mother Nature seemed to be my friend that evening, as the storm stayed just a step or two behind us, and as soon as we were completed is began to rain… that was pretty good luck huh? Thank you all so much for allowing me to photograph your lovely family, and congratulations again Mary and Bruce!
