Annapolis Wedding Photographer : Mr. & Mrs. P- Tucked unassumingly into historic Annapolis, you’ll find the Governor Calvert House that sits on State Circle. Similar in outward appearance to the brick buildings around it, you might even miss it if you aren’t looking for it. Once inside however, you won’t soon forget it. Standing as one of the oldest buildings in town, the Govenor Calvert House wins you over with it’s 18th century charm and warm, well kept interior. As an Annapolis Wedding Photographer it was the perfect place for the SMP team to kick off our 2015 season, as we captured the wedding of Steven and Nita Pszcolka.
As you walk through the Inn to the back of the property, you enter into the courtyard. Constructed in the 1980’s, to give you an intimate outdoor feel with the comforts of being indoors, it provides the perfect backdrop for a ceremony and reception site in one. With brick as high as the eye can see, and an equally grand mural of the capitol building that sits just outside it’s doors, for a moment you may forget that you’re still inside the Inn.
Paired with the always timeless black, the many aqua details provided the perfect pop of color for the mid-January nuptials. The white globe lighting strung overhead was perhaps our favorite detail of the day, as it set the stage for Nita and Steven to exchange their vows. It may have been a cold day in January that these two became one, but the chemistry between them told a different story. Take a groom that is crazy about his bride, and a bride more than willing to brave the cold and you get stunning images on the State House steps. Nita’s ivory shawl, was the perfect touch to complete her winter wedding look.
Crow Entertainment provided fabulous dance music and beautiful aqua up-lighting to set the reception scene. Kids and adults alike, danced the night away and captured their fun in the nearby photo booth. As the couple snuck away to the patio for some final portraits with us, the guests closed out their night indulging in the make your own smore’s bar. It was the perfect way for Annapolis Wedding Photographer Sarah Michele Photography to begin 2015, and we wish Mr. & Mrs. Pszcolka many years of happiness!
