Life gets busy, lets be honest too busy. You already have a full schedule but you say yes to just one more commitment, add in just one more dinner party, agree to meet one extra time for coffee.. there is PTA, soccer, work, friends, mom groups, and mens softball.. there are dishes, there is laundry……..

There is THEM…..

The first mentioned things are all important, but nothing is as important as THEM, and being with them, and there for them, and doing things alongside of them.

Life is busy, but dont let it get to bust for them.

Hold them close

Love them deeper

Speak life into them

Carve out time just for them

We all strive for busy, we wants more clients, new projects, longer working hours, more business trips.. the things that point us toward success…. and I’d be lying to say I do not work toward them, as a business owner I must sink much of my time, energy, efforts, and awake hours into my business and my clients….

This summer, this summer was different, I SCHEDULED my days OFF before I scheduled my days working, we took trips, and I, I turned off my phone. My inbox filled, it was overflowing, some clients were waiting an extra day for an email response, but for THEM…. I was there for THEM, they are my family, they are my heart.

In the busy times take a step back look from the outside in, make sure they are the center and not your business or your work. You cannot step away from work, it must be done, bills must be paid, clients must be given excellent service… your family… they must get the best of you, the most time, the moments…

The moments will happen, the ones that take your breath away, that fill your heart to overflowing, the ones that are full of THEM and the things they do just being THEM. But, first, I …. I must just be…

Be in the moment

Be able to give my attention

be THERE for THEM.

So take a deep breath, step away from technology for a a bit, and be in the moment, and watch your heart burst with fullness of THEM. That moment I sat in the warmth of the late summer sunset, and forgot about phone calls, bedtimes, dishes, and work files…. I inhaled the sweet summer bliss and…
