Annapolis Family Photographer | Deboy Cake Smash

I cannot believe that it was almost a year ago that we were planning the Newborn portrait session for this sweet baby boy who is now about to celebrate his first birthday! I am so glad that his mama emailed me to book his session early, so that we could plan out the fun details, including a Golf themed smash cake provided by “Sweet Treats By Joy”. Joy is a fabulous chef, I have had the opportunity to take a few cooking classes from her and learned so much, but as a pastry chef she blows my mind. Every cake is beautiful and tastes incredible. This tiny cake looked like an oversized golf ball, and clearly based on the photos it tasted wonderful! It was the birthday boys first time really digging into a piece of cake and Im pretty sure its his new favorite thing. He kept taking a bite and then keeping his eye on his parents making sure the cake was staying put and what he was doing with it was totally cool with them!

What a fun experience it is for me to not only capture the memories and images from a cake smash session but to watch it unfold infront of mom and dad. I love watching their reaction to being so excited for their child! This time it was no different! I wish you ALL an incredible time celebrating a fabulous first birthday for a very adorable ONE year old!
