Snow Sessions | Annapolis Family Photographer

In Maryland we never really know when its going to snow, or when we might have warm weather, sometimes we have both in one week. Something strange happens to the weather around here that can allow you to experience all four seasons in a ten day period. Sometimes we barely get any snow, other years we get a whole lot of it, but we really never know when to expect it. So, for those who really want snow portraits it’s a bit of a waiting game for that. I usually have a few clients every year who want snow portraits and we just sort of wait around and then send non stop messages as the storm begins to roll in. This year we planned for our first snow storm of 2019. As an Annapolis Family photographer I was thrilled at the idea of some snow sessions. The weather forecasters were calling for 1-3 inches, and the timeline kept getting pushed back which eventually had it snowing through the night which would make photos will some flakes were still falling a bit hard. However, what we woke up to find was that we were actually getting 8-9 inches and it would be snowing all day, soooo bring on the snow portraits.

I had such a blast running around in the snow with some really incredible families! We worked very, very , fast because well, snow equals cold. Funny thing is I bet those same kids could go sledding for hours and never mention the cold, 10 minutes outside for portraits and they were freezing….. ohhhhh to be a kid again. I’d say we got some really great shots!
