Mr. & Mrs. Reuckert :: Maryland Wedding Photographer

I met Kaitlyn last year when she was the bridesmaid in another gorgeous wedding I photographed. She was not only incredibly sweet, but had a lovely smile and enjoyed the night at that wedding. Fast forward a bit, and I was incredibly excited when she told me that she had gotten engaged, and wanted SMP as her wedding photographer!! We had so much fun chatting and talking through all of her photography requests, she was so nice and such a joy to work with.

We met her at the Hotel at Arundel Preserves for her wedding day preparation and what a gorgeous venue for such an occasion. After the fun of dresses, and last minute make up and not to mention a crash course on how to do the wobble so all the bridesmaids had it down we were off to the ceremony and reception which were held at The Villa in Beltsville on a very chilly November evening. The venue was beautifully decorated with pink accents throughout just as kaitlyn had told me to expect when I photographed their engagement session.

After they walked down then isle and said their I DO’s if was time to party…

We finished up their formal family portraits and then made our way into the ballroom for their first dance as Husband and Wife! As a wedding photographer I witness many first dances, and they are all incredibly sweet but to watch Kaitlyns face as melted away into Dustins eyes.. it was as if the rest of the room didn’t exist in that moment. This is just the way it should be, and you could see just how much in love they are!

When it was time for the dance floor to come alive, their were glowstick to be shaped into fun glasses, and bracelets to light up the night… while the guests were enjoying the party.. we grabbed the bride and groom and snuck away for some epic moonlight Bride & Groom Portraits. It was freezing, they were freezing, we were freezing but we made it happen and then ran back inside just in time for that “wobble” they had been practicing!
