Tell us a bit about yourself, your family, and your business?
My name is Nicole Melton. I have been married for over 14 years, married my high school sweetheart. We have 3 amazing kids and lots of nieces and nephews who keep us busy. I grew up in Pasadena, MD. When I am not working my dream job, as a hairstylist, I love to go to country concerts and spend weekends on our boat. I currently work at Frederick David salon in severna park with some of my best friends.
What drives your passion as a hairstylist?
What drives my passion is to go to continuing education classes so I can keep up with the changing trends. I am always up for trying new Colors, cuts, and ideas on clients. There is nothing that warms your heart more then a client leaving your chair feeling amazing.
What has been a challenge you have faced in this industry?
I would say my biggest challenge in running my business is balance between my family life and work. I have tremendous support from my family but the challenge is getting clients to understand that my time is valuable as theirs is. I put in a lot of time throughout the year making sure I am up on the new trends, perfecting my skills, scheduling clients , and working behind the chair.

Help us out with an at home style to rock all summer, and some hair care tips?
A super fun summer style I would recommend would be to use the product “beach day” by unite, along with the argon oil. Wash hair, towel dry, spray all over, then apply one pump of oil on ends of hair. That will leave hair super shiny with sexy beach waves! Always, always use a professional shampoo! That will keep a neutral balance of moisture and protein in the hair. .jpg)
