Not what but Why | Annapolis Family Photographer It’s never really been that important to me that you know WHAT I do… what is important to me is that you know WHY I do it. Years ago before becoming a full time photographer and building the brand now known as Sarah Michele Photography I worked […]

My “why” changed too when I became a mom and it’s neat to read a post from someone with a common “why”

It’s incredible the similarity we have. I started to think of my photography career differently once I had my daughter recently. I truly believe the WHY is what’s most important- thank you for sharing that.

All this, so true! I feel the same way when I watch my babies growing into… not babies, and my heart breaks a little, but also loves to see them running around being their own little people. Great images are treasures!

Yes, Sarah, in a blink of an eye, children grow up and drift away from you as they move toward being who God called them to be. Photos are memories captured in real time, that can last a lifetime. I treasure the photos you captured for our family!
Today I am sharing with you all on a topic that some might believe to be too personal, or a bit taboo and that is even more reason why I believe that it should be shared. Before having walked the journey of infertility I really couldn’t say that I understood it very well, or even […]

This is so well written. Shady Grove is amazing.

This is such a sweet post. I have many family and friends who suffered with infertility. It’s such a hard thing for these family and friends to endure in hopes to maybe be pregnant. I cannot imagine what all these families and friends feel when they do or can’t become pregnant. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions.
-
Infertility is a topic that people don’t talk about enough, but so many people are affected by it. You are so brave for sharing your journey and I’m sure this is going to touch the hearts of so many others that share the same struggles.
-
Thank you so much for sharing this. Infertility is not brought up by people often enough and I am so glad you did!
-
Love love love this post. It took us three losses before we were blessed with Brayden. I’m constantly worried about our journey to a second child but ultimately we know there is a bigger plan than the plan we have for ourselves. Love having you as our photographer and sharing this journey of our lives with you!
-
Thank you so much, I am honored that you chose me and have allowed me to share in this beautiful part of your lives!

Thank you for sharing your story. Infertility is definitely not talked about as much as it should be in this age and day. I hope you know by sharing your story you showed everyone who reads this courage and bravery.

Thank you for sharing so openly and honestly. I cannot even imagine the rollercoaster of emotions that accompany infertility, but I know you are the strongest woman I know for acknowledging it. Thinking of you along this journey.

I lost 2 babies due to PCOS and was lucky to have 2 without much intervention but it took 2 years to get pregnant with my first, we were talking with an adoption agency when I found out I was pregnant

Ohhh wow! Thank you for sharing with me, I am so sorry to hear of your loss and struggles with PCOS. So wonderful that you have been blessed with two children babies at home with you!

We are struggling with infertility. No one ever knows how heartbreaking and devastating it is to really be in it. Good post.
-
It is really heartbreaking and it puts strain on so many things… work, marriage, friendships… I pray you find answers and hope through your journey. Email me anytime you need someone to listen!
-
-
Thank you for sharing this. Infertility is something that needs to be talked about more.
-
Thank you for sharing on such a tough topic. I know a few friends struggling with infertility and it is hard to know what to say.
-
Thank you for sharing. I’m 63, went through infertility treatment in my early 30s, and still never got pregnant. Friends sympathized and prayed for me, but they were all having babies. I had no one who knew how I felt and there were no books on the subject. (I’m writing a book now.) For those who try and fail to ever have children the pain continues because there are no grandchildren. I’m still seeking answers.
-
Ohh Becky-
Your story hurts my heart for you. I am sorry sweet friend. Please let me know when you are published I would love to check out your resource.

Thanks for sharing honestly about your infertility journey. I’m sure there are many who will be encouraged by this!

Anel Lestage - You are so right Sarah! I have 4 kids and each one has been different, with different needs. I was at different stages of motherhood with each baby. Now that I have a newborn again, I am reminded to listen to my own mother instinct and not the “experts” I think it’s wonderful of you to share your personal experience with your Annapolis clients, not just as a photographer, but as a mother too.
