Annapolis Newborn Photographer | Meet Calem

It was n’t very long ago that I was capturing a beautiful Maternity session for this family at Ft. Smallwood Park. We had a lovely time chatting about the sweet baby that was coming. Mom and Dad had no idea if they were expecting a baby boy or baby girl but baby was coming in just a few weeks! They told me they had decorated a fairly neutral nursery and were just waiting to add some pops of color once they knew if they were team pink or blue for their first baby! I got the email just a few weeks after the maternity session and they announced that they had just welcomed a healthy baby boy!

They had decided on a lifestyle newborn session in their home, which I really really love. Not only is it easier on a new family to not have to worry about leaving the house with baby, but something about being in your own home makes it extra special. One day should they relocate they can show their baby boy the home they brought him home from the hospital too and what those early days of life looked like for him.

We met on a very humid summer morning, thank goodness we were shooting indoors and had a lovely time. We moved around from baby’s nursery to the master bedroom and the living room. Calem was a delight and barely made a peep the whole entire time. I loved my time with them capturing their newborn portraits.
