Sarah and Jonny Engagement | Annapolis Wedding Photographer

I met with Sarah and Jonny in Historic Ellicott City, Maryland a few weeks back for their engagement session. Oh my word they were a blast, and so great to be around.. they felt like old friends! The weather was lovely and with just enough cloud cover it wasnt too hot to be walking around outside. We met just behind one of my favorite spots to grab a drink LaPalapa Mexican restaurant… and then we headed for a stroll down the street. We chatted all things life, and children, and jobs. Sarah is a professional baker….. which works out great since I’m almost a professional cookie and macaroon taste tester, soooo just in case you’re even in need Sarah… I can be that girl for you! Anyway, we chatted about that and then our children, and so many more things… really, LIKE. OLD. FRIENDS. It was so much fun. I loved hearing all of the little details that are going into their wedding day that’s coming up really soon, and now having met them I am even more excited to capture that day for them!

It was exciting being able to shoot in Ellicott city again, after the terrible flooding that they experienced last year, I hadn’t been able to get in there for any sessions while clean up and rebuild was going on. It was also wonderful to see a historic town come together to rebuild and almost return the city to what it was before. There are a few shops that were able to return and they will forever be missed, but the town certainly hasnt lost its charm, and quaint feeling. If you have never had the chance to visit you should check it out!
