Meet Charlie | Annapolis Newborn Photographer
A lot of the newborns I have photographed lately have been born early… I think they all wanted to surprise everyone with a much earlier then anticipated birth date. Some of them have been more then 5 weeks early. This little guy surprised his mama and he too came much earlier then expected and thankfully didnt require a very long hospital stay! When his parents brought him into the studio his was just 5 pounds, but while he may have been a super tiny guy, he has a pretty incredible personality already, and he loved to snuggle. Since he was so early he was still covered in all of his baby fuzz, and has the best scrunchy newborn skin… he would quickly put himself right back into his fetal position and drift off to sleep. Of course flashing a few smiles as he did so.
His parents told me that every since she was early in her pregnancy they referred to him as “Baby bear” so we of course had to get some baby bear shots of him as well as shot of him this tiny with his growth bear. DO you know about growth bears? They are a certain “stuffed animal” that you choose that will be the size marker for all of your monthly photos of your child. So basically you choose a fuzzy bear that at birth will most likely be bigger then baby and you sit them in a comfy chair and take their photos each month with that bear and suddenly there will be a shift where baby will become bigger then then bear and then they may begin holding the bear, its super cute to follow growth photos with an item for size reference.
This little guy was a joy to photograph!
