You do not have to wait until your baby turns ONE to update their portraits. Milestone, and sitter sessions are a quick fun way to grab some new portraits, and capture each stage as they grow.

3, 6, 9, 12 Months, or even 18 and 24 months are great points to capture new portraits.

Happy Birthday Georgia | Annapolis Family Photographer

Where do I even begin? Georgia’s session was so much fun! Her mother booked a cake smash milestone session for her and it was held in the Sarah Michele photography studio. Since her name is Georgia they were having a Curios George themed birthday party for her, so, for her portrait section of her photo session she wore a Curious George shirt with a number 1, as well as tutu with lots of bright colors. At first she wasn’t feeling her sessions at all, which is completely normal for a 1 year old. However, after we played with balloons, made silly sounds, and some peek-a-boo she was getting very excited, much to her mothers delight. While I certainly love the pouty face, and sad cheeks… we get excited when smiles are coming out of everywhere and we get those big grins for childrens portraits!

Then we moved onto her cake segment, we went simple and elegant, she wore a gorgeous floral crown, and boy of boy did she have fun with her cake. It took her a few mins to warm up to the idea of smashing that cake but once she started that… she was off, and face was covered in cake! She gave me lots of smiles, and those beautiful big eyes were a joy to photograph, and her giggles were the very best! I loved my tims with sweet Georgia in the studio, and look forward to seeing her again!
