Frederick Maryland Wedding Photographer | Gordon Wedding

On a recent sunny Saturday the SMP girls traveled out past Frederick, to Myersville, Maryland. We came toward the end of our drive, but weren’t sure what to expect as we winded down the long narrow country road for what seemed like miles. As A Frederick Maryland wedding photographer its nothing new to be driving out long windy roads as they always lead to something amazing. As we reached our destination though and rounded the corner into the venue, we could immediately tell why Jackie and Rick chose Ostertag Vistas as the setting for the biggest day of their lives. Rolling hills, opens meadows, and a weeping willow tree that could have been straight from a story book… it made for the perfect picturesque backdrop for their special day!

They chose to exchange vows in front of an adorable red door cottage, that just overflowed with character and history. Certain that the rain would come at any moment, each guest had an umbrella at the ready… but as if it held off just for them, the sky didn’t open up, until just minutes after the two became husband and wife. We all gathered and sought refuge and photo spots inside the beautifully renovated barn. The tin roof, and heavy rain made for family portraits, I’m convinced they’ll never forget, and then once again as if just for them, the rain cleared and the sound calmed just in time for dinner and toasts. Family owned for many years, the people of Ostertag couldn’t have been any sweeter and the DJ brought the party for a fabulous reception.

We were thrilled to be chosen to capture such a gorgeous wedding, with fabulous people, at such a lovely (new to us) venue and we wish Jackie and Rick a lifetime of happiness!
