Annapolis Wedding Photographer | Roberto Day Engagement Session

On an incredible summer evening I met this charming couple at a Rustic, farmstead park known as Kinder Farms, an Anne Arundel County Park. I was incredibly excited to hear all about their engagement, plans for their wedding and what details and events of the day have been planned out so far! Boy! Was I in for a treat, not only were they fun, energetic, and crazy in love with each other, but they were adventurous… ad you would pick up on when they told you about their ski slope engagement, and they brought along a few, wellllll alot of props all different kinds. We started off with the DIY rustic save the date signs the couple hand made, got some great couples shots and then moved into the props, and let me tell you, it was a first for me to shoot Snowboarding gear in the 95* sun, but these two made it so much fun, we laughed the whole time they were “suiting up” in their gear, under the summer sun, instantly once goggles were on they both looked at each other and exclaimed how much they just wanted to go snowboarding!!!!

Then they told me about their love for penguins, and brought along a few of the stuffed kind. The bride to be told me that since they cannot have pets where they live these penguins are their babies, but it got super special super quick, they old me all about penguins mating for life, and their practices of “proposing” to the other and caring for the other one and I instantly fell in love with this couple… UNTIL, the broke out their Minnie & Mickey heads for a few photos, thank goodness that they told me how they belonged to the brides parents who used them for parties and such years and years ago of I might have been a little scared… ok I was still a bit scared, I will be honest I am afraid of clowns and those heads were like the antique, clown version of the mouse couple… but still fun… or so they say, I overheard the bride to be say ” these look like disney meets the walking dead” but they had a quirky sentimental value so of course we had to add them in, and had a blast doing so, as an Annapolis wedding photographer I can say that I have never photographed mickey and minnie during an engagement shoot until now, but look at that minnie in that cute white dress, stylin’!  lol Im telling you after an incredibly fun shoot like that full of so many different themes and ideas, I seriously cannot wait for their wedding, I know for sure its going to be pretty incredible!
