When my gorgeous friend Nicole, (Who just happens to be a very talented hair stylist in Severna Park, you can find her at Frederick David Salon), asked my to photograph her family again this summer I was thrilled. I love spending time with friends at gorgeous outdoor locations like Kinder Farm park and photographing their family portraits! We were so blessed with fabulous weather, it wasn’t too hot and thank goodness it wasn’t raining for once. Nicoles three children all have such different personalities it is so much fun to see them come alive in front of the camera, especially her youngest daughter who is also friends with my daughter… that age, you never know what you might get however, this tiny gal was enjoying every second of being photographed and would give me a totally different expression every time the frame changed!

As an Annapolis Family Photographer, Family portraits hold such a special place in my heart, children grow so quickly, loved ones aren’t promised to be with us forever, personalities change, looks and hairstyles change, one year the want to hold your hand the next they want to be dropped off around the corner. We age, we grow, we move… but memories last forever! When I am given the chance to provide a time capsule of memories for another family I get so excited to think that THIS stage, this YEAR, this AGE will be documented. But, it doesnt end there, printing your images is just as important as having them photographed after all, flash drives, CD’s and harddrives are not going to be around forever… just think if you had images on a floppy disk right now, what could you do with it… printed images are timeless, and hold such a value.. to hear nicole already talking about what prints she wants for her walls made me so happy.
