The day before I was scheduled to photograph Westons mama’s Maternity portraits, she had emailed me to say that she was on a monitor and there was a chance that baby wanted a much earlier birthday then originally expected, just a short time later Sweet Weston was born. He was very early but even as a teeny tiny boy his mama called him a strong fighter, and knew he wouldnt spend very much time in that NICU, and guess what.. she was right… after just a few weeks that I am sure to mama felt like a VERY long time, that tiny baby boy was headed home. When I say tiny I do not mean just a small baby I mean TINY! His mama emailed me to schedule his newborn session and was worried that since he had spent so much time in the NICU he wouldnt look exactly like a newborn anymore, well surprisingly.. he still looked like a fresh born baby. Upon coming to the studio for his portraits he was only FOUR and a HALF pounds!!! A true tiny peanut he was, but so full of expression! He reminded me so much of his big brother, in fact he looked like his twin! Weston quickly showed me his angry eyebrows and would crack his tiny smiles everytime I put my camera down for a half second.. I am just positive baby’s think that is fun!!!! He was sooooo snuggly, and loved to be close to his momma just like he had been during kangaroo care in the NICU. Weston you were a delight, and I loved photographing your newborn portraits, what a miracle baby you are!
