I was so excited for Jaxons mama to bring him into the studio, and what an incredible baby he was! Im telling you, as a Newborn photographer I am convinced that Annapolis and the surrounding areas have some of the cutest babies around.. maybe Im biased but really?? Look at him, what a doll he was, and only a few peeps! His mama arrived with him as he was dozing off and we got right to work! I just couldn’t stop making a fuss over him, he had the most incredible little old man wrinkles on his forehead and one was right on the bridge of his nose, it seriously couldnt have been any cuter!

Every baby who comes in is a bit different, some are sleepers others very alert, some enjoy being held other want to be left alone a bit more, some like the swaddle with their hands in and the others want to touch their face. Its important to gauge what the temperament if the baby is very shortly into their session that way you can play into their cues a bit better and make the session as smooth as possible for everyone! I was so excited when mom was eager to jump into some portraits even if she hadn’t planned on it. Mamas are too often the ones behind the camera and do not make it into the photos, so I always offer or ask and get so super excited when they say yes, and I mean she just had a baby a week before this and looked incredible!
