Because the little girls in these photographs won’t always be this age. They’ll keep growing, changing, and becoming more of who they are. And that’s exactly why I love photographing these seasons. The flowers will fade. The seasons will change. The girls will grow. But they’ll always have these photographs to remember this little piece of their story. A few weeks ago before we all got put on lock down for Covid-19, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful Maternity session for Vanessa and Andrew. They are expecting a baby girl, in just a few short weeks now. They were so much fun to work with and Vanessa is an incredibly laid back mama and made pregnancy look super easy. They both spoke about how excited they were for their new baby girl to arrive and all the things they still had left to do to be prepared for her and the hopes and dreams they had for her arrival and early days.

 

Of course since then the whole world has taken quite a change, and having a baby right now is much different then it was just a few months ago. regardless though of all of that, this little girl is already totally loved, and will be born a quite a time in history. What a crazy storm to have one day that you were born during a global health pandemic right? As an Annapolis Newborn Photographer this is quite a first for me, to have something so drastic that shapes everyones lives so much. This is just another thing that makes me appreciate capturing memories.
