I have a little obsession with baby bumps. I loved when I had mine, I had fun dressing for the bump, and accesorizing the bump, and showing off the bump. Those things were exciting but not the reason why I love them so much. Baby bumps are like a wrapped present under the Christmas Tree. Growing up we did the Santa thing, buuuuuut my parents put some presents under the tree before Christmas.. the ones from them. I would watch the presents arrive in the shiny paper and then I’d start daydreaming off all the things that could be inside of there. The anticipation for Christmas morning to come was incredible.. because I had been watching the presents. I now do the same thing with my children. Santa brings a few gifts but the rest are from mom and dad… I mean, he may be jolly but it’s not coming out of his wallet so we cant give him all the credit… So we start about 3 weeks before Christmas placing one present every few days under the tree. As soon as one pops up under there, I watch my daughter eye them up and start trying to guess.

Baby bellies are the same, they are like a wrapped present… I mean.. we know there is a baby inside… but in the early days, what if there are TWO… you dont know if they are boy or girl babies, if they will have hair or be bald, will the look like mom or dad, or in some cases of infertility a surprise when using donors. It’s so exciting. So when I meet my clients, I love wondering what that baby will look like once I see what mom and dad look like. I am not often right, but guessing is so much fun!

Katie and Morgan are first time parents, and seriously such a sweet couple. I loved my time with them, and CANNOT wait for that baby’s! Congratulations to the P family!!
