The importance of Maternity Photography-
It may be incredibly cold and snow covered outside in Maryland (or really much of the East Coast) right now, but we’ve been busy inside lately capturing maternity photography sessions in our warm and cozy studio! Having gorgeous maternity photos can happen any time, and doesn’t depend on the time of year that you’re having your baby.
Not only do we love to capture the baby after he or she arrives with a newborn photography session, but we truly love to capture their Mama’s beauty, as she anxiously awaits their arrival! Pregnancy is such a beautiful part of the journey of motherhood and deserves to be captured and preserved just as much as Newborn Portraits. Maternity sessions are best scheduled early on in your pregnancy and captured between 30 – 32 weeks. Scheduling your Maternity Photography session or any Baby portrait package should be scheduled as early as possible. Shortly after you find out you are expecting you should begin the planning process of booking your photographer. At Sarah Michele Photography we only schedule a few babies per month due to their unexpected arrival times, and wanting the flexibility of scheduling around their schedule, so booking early is important. Once your photographer is chosen, and your package booked, its time to start dreaming about the type of Maternity Photography session you want. Some clients come to me with lots of ideas while others leave the creativity to me and just tell me what colors they would prefer!
