I was so excited when my sweet friend Hillary announced that she was expecting baby number two!!! I was even more excited when she asked me to photograph the journey for them as they became a family of 4, with two little girls… sisters…. how sweet!!! Having two little girls of my own, I was overjoyed for her to experience the sweetness of your two babies sharing the special bond of being sisters. Due to some changes in work schedules we had to quickly pick a new day for their session, and even at the last minute, hair.. makeup.. everything came together perfectly, and her shoot was magical! We met in her home because Hillary really desired for a comfortable, laid back, relaxed session. I think it was just that, their 2 year old daughter Sam was about to run around as she pleased since she was in her own home, and then I was able to work with just hillary! We even got a chance to capture a few maternity Boudoir style but ever so feminine shots… buuuuuut, she’s keeping those to herself! Having an in home lifestyle session allowed her family to not only be comfortable but also to shoot in many different areas, their master bedroom, living room, etc. It certainly helps that the lighting and decor of Hillary’s house is on point!! I loved spending time with them to capture this part of the journey to 4 while they are waiting on baby number 2! I cannot wait until their next session a fresh 48 at the hospital, to capture Samantha as she first meets her new baby sister! Those sessions are always so emotional and beautiful, and capturing them is something I am so honored to do!
