I absolutely loved capturing this sweet boy’s cake smash just a few weeks ago! Tyler’s mom and I went back and forth having all the fun planning this cake smash with every little detail possible. She wanted his session to be all different shades of blue. We him in the cutest outfit which was a hat, overalls, and suspenders. Which was my most favorite part of the session, I love the look of little boys in grown-up clothes!
When they arrived for his session, I found out Tyler’s mom is an Occupational Therapist which struck up some conversation as to what she does and at what hospital she works at, as my mother-in-law is an Occupational Therapist at a local hospital. But then we got started on capturing this super fun moment! Tyler’s mom got a blue ombre cake from a local bakery and brought it out after we got a few shots of just Tyler.
Tyler went to town on this cake! After diving into his cake hands first he then began painting with the icing all over, including himself! A few bites in and he had had enough.. which was ok with me because sometimes crying photos are just as cute as the ones with smiles. I love cake smashes and this one was no different!
