One of the greatest compliments I can receive as an Annapolis family photographer is when families continue to invite me back year after year to document their story. Watching children grow, celebrating milestones, and preserving these memories together is one of the greatest joys of my job.
This session was especially bittersweet.
As this sweet family prepared to move out of state and begin an exciting new chapter, they wanted one last family session to remember the place they had called home. We spent the evening exploring one of my favorite local parks before making our way to the beach, capturing laughter, snuggles, and all of the little moments that make their family uniquely them.
It was one of those evenings where the weather kept us on our toes. Dark gray clouds slowly rolled in as we photographed, but we managed to finish the entire session just before the first raindrops began to fall. Sometimes those unpredictable skies create the most beautiful light, and this evening was no exception.
As a Maryland family photographer, I know that family photographs become even more meaningful during seasons of change. Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, celebrating a milestone, or preparing for a move, photographs help preserve not only how life looked, but how it felt.
