When Tara told me she wanted to have her engagement portraits captured on an island, I was all for it. Living on the bay, in Maryland we are surrounding by tons of nautical miles of shoreline… boats are everywhere around here, and boating is just second nature to many of us, if you didn’t grow up on a sailboat, then most likely own a motor boat now, or at least spend a decent amount of time on one! We met at a small launching site for boats, and then enjoyed the breeze and we made our way across the Chesapeake bay to a gorgeous little island called Dobbins Island.
There were only a few other people out on the beach, but with music playing from the boats, the breeze blowing, and the sun setting it was every bit of summer nights perfection. I’d say these two enjoyed their time, what do you think?
