Annapolis Newborn Photographer | Meet Willow

Sweet Willows grandmother contacted me just before Christmas in hopes to secure a Newborn session for her new granddaughter. She was a very proud new grandma and even included a photo of willow and santa in her early correspondence to me. I was delighted that I was able to work it out, especially since Willows grandmother isn’t Local and I was headed out for the Holidays, but the timing was perfect, and Willow was a complete dream. Her parents brought her into the studio just after Christmas and were very excited for her portraits. During out presession planning her momma had expressed her love for Natural lit family portraits, and while I do generally try to incorporate naturally back lit family portraits, with work schedules it didnt look like they would be able to make it in when natural light was still available. Much to our surprise it worked out to begin our session with the last few minutes that the daylight has to offer, and it turned out beautifully ! After capturing portraits with mom, dad, and the new family of three we moved onto portraits of just willow.

Willows mom had brought along a crochet fox set with a diaper cover and cap with darling little fox ears on it. Willow loved laying on her tummy and catching a little nap in the basket set up with her fox hat, and she was seriously the sweetest little fox you ever did see. Her mom had also requested a shot with willow holding mom and dads wedding bands so we added those shots in at the end, and then enjoyed a few with willows gorgeous dark eyes open! Willow, you were just a delight and the perfect addition to your little family.
