Annapolis Family Photographer | Real life in 2016 and some business updates

Everytime the first week of january rolls around I found myself thinking the same thing, how on earth did the previous year go by so quickly, how did the holidays fly by like a blur, and what can I do to make this year even better. Well, I’m here again.. but I already know this year is going to be fabulous, just like last year was… I mean lets be honest every year has its ups and downs some years are mostly spent on the downs while others carry much of their time through the ups but it all balances out and thats just life. Speaking of life.. yes the rumors are true.. I am expecting a New baby girl in just about 18/19 weeks from now! I am so excited, it was a long journey with infertility, lots of doctors, testing and the like but we are here now and cannot wait to meet our new baby girl, who’s big sister is already in love with her and just cannot seem to wrap her 5 year old mind around why on earth would a baby take so long to finally arrive.

Now, Im sure that has gotten you thinking.. especially if you are a spring wedding client, Wellllll what about my wedding??? Dont you even worry, I do not have any weddings scheduled right at my due date, with the exception of one wedding being covered by an associate photographer, and all the others are weeks before and weeks after and I have an incredible team working with now that will make those days easy and enjoyable, even if I am large and in charge! I will be taking a short Maternity leave after the baby and then will be back to my normal portrait schedule, with that being said if you are looking to book spring and summer sessions get them in early as I will be taking a limited number of sessions during that time!

So lets talk more about this Associate Photographer program… well I am so excited to roll it out this year.  I have decided that I will only be accepting ONE wedding per month for the remainder of 2016 (outside what is already booked) and through 2017. If you are considering having me capture your wedding book early! However I still have lots of inquiring brides, so I will be implementing the Associate photographer program, this program will allow brides to have the SMP wedding day experience with their special day being shot by one of my wedding photographers, whom I have trained, and will be continually working with, and then I will still be editing and handling all booking, and final product and image delivery.. the associates will also be available a lower price range then the SMP weddings shot my me which may also appeal to brides in other budgets !

I am so excited for all the new families that are booked for this upcoming year, new babies being born, new friendships to be made, and new memories to be documented.
