I had the pleasure of capturing this sweet couple’s wedding a few years back. It was beautiful, with the bay as the backdrop and an afternoon of fun, friends, and dancing. I was so excited when their new baby had arrived and we began planning family portraits with that sweet boy as front and center.. however, due to work schedules and the lovely weather we experience here is maryland that quickly changes from bad to worse, and multiple reschedules we decided that with a small baby it would be best to switch fall family portraits to spring family portraits, and I am so glad that we did that. Whenever I have to reschedule a portrait session for weather, or sick kiddos, or whatever it might be, I always cross my fingers and hope that mother nature is nice to me and cuts me a break the next go round and in the case of this session, Id say we were on good terms mother nature and I. The weather was fabulous, the sunset gorgeous and that little guy!!!!! Oh my he was wonderful.

We decided to meet for our session at Jonas Green Park, one of the county parks in Anne Arundel County Maryland. As an Annapolis Family Photographer it is one of my very favorite locations especially for sunset portraits. It has a beach on one side, a nice grassy park area, and then the other side has gigantic rocks, underneath of a bridge that overlooks the Annapolis Naval Academy. The breeze that normally comes off of the water is perfect to keep you cool during your session. I had such a blast capturing these portraits for the D family.
