SMP | Small business photographer : Check out the locals

Since re-launching the branch of my business knows as SMP for small businesses, offering local Maryland and not so local, small business photography I have gotten to meet and work with some really incredible people! Small business owners just like me, who are working the hustle every day to create a better experience for their clients and customers. I’d love to introduce you to one of the ladies who is not only my friends but an incredible business woman!

I had the chance to shoot and chat with her, providing  new marketing images as well as learn a little bit more about her businesses… check out what she had to say!

Id like to introduce you to Melanie.. If you are a client of mine especially a bride, you will have heard her name before.. she is an incredible make-up artist who transforms many of my brides, and clients alike for their portraits. She is fun to be around and very knowledgeable. She has a super trendy studio, SHINE,  tucked away in pasadena where you step through the door to escape the day to day stress and enjoy a magical facial. I had one a few months back and my skin was instantly transformed, it felt so smooth and had a youthful glow, I even received a few compliments! Along with facials melanie offers many others services including airbrush tanning, waxing, make-up lessons and more!
Melanie received an award for “Best Facial” in Capital style Bridal readers choice 2016 and is an official sponsor for “Miss Maryland America Pageant”

 Melanie- tell us a little bit about yourself, and why SHINE, what about this drives you? 

“So, SHINE got started because I was ready to branch out on my own.  I’ve been in the beauty business for 12 years. Nothing like being your own boss.  It’s not “work” when you love what you do. I wanted to gear my services to women- hence the Bright pink walls & sparkly things everywhere.  I wanted a place where women feel happy and beautiful- from a simple brow wax to a relaxing spa facial (good both mentally & physically).
