Behind the Scenes 2017 | Maryland Wedding Photographer

THIS is always my favorite post from the whole year. Infact, I do not let myself look through the BTS folder at all, I just add images to it, and then at the end of the year I go through it and laugh, and remember all the beautiful weddings, the fun memories, and the silly moments. Also, I may only look at it then because otherwise I would be reminded often of my RBF, and well, I like to pretend that it doesnt exist. Thanks to my husband reminding me daily that it in fact does, I may never be able to forget about it. Crazy thing is, I am never unhappy during weddings, just seems that when I am thinking through something my face just sorta does that terrible thing.

We had some incredible times this year! Beautiful weddings, gorgeous brides, handsome grooms, lovely venues…. and lots of laughs. I mean, when you are working side by side the same people all day long there’s bound to be some inside jokes, some one liners, and hilarious moments by the end of the day. I’m pretty sure my associate Melissa made it into more photos then I did this year, but at least she’s cute so it’s fine!

I have no idea why this face.. I’m telling you it just happens, fixing a veil, concentrating….I guess I do this.

From the looks of it, we were both (myself and the brides mama) a little worried here, but it all turned out fine

Me and kyle…. despite what you may think, I really do like him, and photographing weddings…. it was just a bit sunny.. and then like I mentioned, my face… it does … this thing.

This bayside wedding, may have been THE. HOTTEST. WEDDING. DAY. I have veer worked, I mean, it’s a good thing my shirt has a pattern, we were all drenched in sweat by the end.

Speaking of patterned shirts… its my secret on REAL hot outdoor shooting days. Just snapping a few of the groom and his friends as the sun was going down. In the background.. oh thats a brick oven pizza truck…. yes I had some, yes it was delicious.

Getting those details Juuuuuuust right.

Melissa, just supervising the operation, and me a bit surprised about something.

Guys, this is embarrassing… I mean, I don’t even know here… what I about to sneeze? Disgusted over the weather, it’s just not good… ohhh but that bride.. isn’t she stunning.

This guy…. he makes my world go round… he also is my second shooter, and carries my bags, and gets me water, and keeps me on time… and looks amazing while doing all of that.

Jeez Melissa!!!! She always thinks it’s about her… I’m kidding.. I can hear her now as shes running through my shot ” Oh shoot, Im sorry”

If there’s one thing you should know about Maryland’ers … weve got alot of Maryland Pride…. but not enough to just carry this thing all around with us, why was she even carrying this…

Just a little bit of light testing with Melissa 

If I told you how many times I’m about to take a shot and a bug gets inside of the veil.

What am I telling them? ” To the left, to the left”

These girls look so serious here… just gotta get that boot out juuuuut right… and then theres Melissa crowding my shot again!

Back to that Veil fixin’

just going over a few details, between the bride… kyle (see carrying my stuff again.. he’s the best), the pastor… and ring bearer, you have to have everyone on board.

Just fixing a boutonniere real fast!

Sometimes shes my assistant, sometimes she doubles as the caterers assistant and sets all the cupcakes and cakes. She’s pretty awesome!

It was hot.. like real hot.. we were trying to find some shade..

ohhh look, she makes that face too 😉

I promise no brides were hurt by grooms in the taking of this photo. I think he was actually calming fanning her it was super hot out.

It’s true, she loves cupcakes… and that’s basically why she does this job… for the cake.. what am I saying we’re all there for the cake 😉

Don’t mind the nasty hair… remember that SUPER hot day I told you about,and being soaked from sweat… that wasn’t a joke.

We were discussing if it would be acceptable to jump in the bay, since it was like 120 degrees out.

I have no idea what I was laughing at.
